Programme of the Opening Season Announced

Today, in Teatralny Square, we announced the programme of the opening season of the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures in Lublin, combining various areas of cultural and artistic activity, informed by the idea of a meeting with another human being. The main programme lines introduce recipients to the rich world of current international trends, including classic and signature acts and events delivered at the highest possible level. The programme lines are categories of meanings that group the projects of the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures around the following notions: Meetings with Masters, Meetings of World Cultures, Arts and Culture at Present, Neo-Tribes (Modern Tribalism), and a Meeting Place.

• 6 May 2016. Playing for Change, Amadou&Mariam, Jacek Kleyff - free open-air concert in Theatre Square (Plac Teatralny)
• 7 May 2016. Academia Teatro alla Scala, "Cinderella" (ballet)
• 27 May - 7 August 2016. Sebastião Salgado, "Genesis" photo exhibition
• 3-5 June 2016. Continents Festival of Globetrotting and Non-Fiction, with Paul Theroux as a special guest
• 24-25 June 2016. Nederlands Dans Theatre 2, dance theatre, in partnership with the Lublin Dance Theatre
• 3 September 2016. Gentleman, MTV Unplugged, concert and accompanying events
• 1 October 2016. Grand Opening Gala: "Theatre under Construction" – music show with artists from Lublin, including Beata Kozidrak, Krzysztof Cugowski, Jan Kondrak, UDS dance studio, followed up by a concert of the international headliner.
