„Girl Power”

„Girl Power” is a documentary that provides a new look at women’s art in the graffiti community usually dominated by males. In her film, Czech artist Sany, follows female graffiti writers from fifteen cities – from Prague to New York. Presenting portraits of successful, emancipated female graffiti artists, Sany shows an increasing role that women play in man’s graffiti world.

It is also a moving autobiographical story of Sany’s sacrifices and determination to make the very first film about women’s graffiti.

„Girl Power” screening is a part of IX edition of All My City Festival 2016 organised by Brain Damage Gallery. It will be preceeded by discussion and book fair. The film is an introduction to a one-day exhibition of Brain Damage Gallery’s collection that will take place on 17.12.2016.
