Composer, songwriter, music arranger and producer of the majority of her songs. Sold over one million records. 16 of her songs topped the cult Polish Radio 3 Chart. Apart from her solo career, Bartosiewicz recorded songs together with esteemed Polish acts, including Róże Europy, Wojciech Waglewski, Acid Drinkers, Hey and Kazik Staszewski.

The beginning of Bartosiewicz’s solo career dates back to 1992 when she recorded her debut album Love. The magical tone of her first album was a promise of a true revolution, which she was to bring in the next years of her work. The second album of the singer Dream (1994) is characterised by its high dosage of lyricism and expression. The album was a huge success and sold 600 thousand copies. The next one, Szok’n’Show (1995), received the “double platinum” status. What is more, the album Child (1997) and Waterfalls (1998) confirmed Bartosiewicz’s high status on the Polish music scene. At the beginning of the 21st century, Bartosiewicz withdrew from active participation in the music scene due to health problems. During that time, she took part in several projects launched by her colleagues such as the song “Trudno tak”, a duet with Polish legend Krzysztof Krawczyk, or a guest live appearance in Myslovitz’s song “I’d Like to Die of Love” during the band’s 10th anniversary celebration. In 2010 Bartosiewicz played as a headliner at Orange Warsaw Festival, where she was supported by Courtney Love, among others. In 2013 Bartosiewicz released her long-awaited album Renovatio. The album was very well received among fans and critics, and it reached platinum status. Her latest release is Love&More. It is a re-edition of the album Love and an album comprising songs such as Tale, Think about me and Innocence (2002 single version) as well as unknown and unreleased material.

On 28th October in the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures in Lublin, Bartosiewicz will perform with her project Edyta Bartosiewicz Acoustic Trio – UNPOPULAR. The group members include: Romuald Kunikowski – piano, accordion, Maciej Gładysz – guitar, Edyta – guitar, vocals.
