CONTINENTS KIDS

CONTINENTS KIDS is a set of meetings with travellers who will present the diversity of the world, familiarise children with other cultures and show the lives of the youngest in many corners of the globe. The hour-long workshops will be conducted by Robb Maciąg and Anna and Krzysztof Kobus. The events are part of this year's edition - CONTINENTS - FESTIVAL OF GLOBETROTTING AND NON-FICTION.

Robb Maciąg

Constantly on the road, no matter if it’s cycling to China or walking around the woods near a house. He believes that people and their stories are the most important in writing. Author of several travel books and the www.ku-sloncu.org website. Two-time winner of the National Geographic Traveller Awards (2007 - Journey of Life, 2013 - Travel Book of the Year). If he does not write, he conducts ethnographic workshops for schools, co-creates the Schools Faraway Foundation and organises unconventional expeditions - mainly to Iran and India. A regular contributor to KONTYNENTY magazine.

Chinese workshops

In the very far east lies a country that is very different from Poland. Nature, tastes and, of course, people as well. Their language, beliefs and culture. During the workshops about China children will learn a few Chinese words, will get to know Chinese beliefs, customs, legends, nature and everyday life. As always, our workshops are full of props, and during the meetings, we will taste, touch and move.

Anna and Krzysztof Kobus

They write, take photographs, conduct workshops and give multimedia presentations for children and adults. Krzysztof flies a drone, Anna is a social butterfly. Animals of Africa - cognitive workshops

A meeting devoted to learning about Africa in the form of games and riddles. We will get to know the ceremonial Bushmen giraffe dance, we will touch the sand of the desert, we will see the differences between the feathers of guinea fowl, flamingos and ostriches, we will learn to imitate the sounds of animals and we will learn how to evoke a hippopotamus. And we will also meet animals straight from Africa: made of beads, carved in wood and dyed using a special batik technique.
