From 21 to 23 March 2018, Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival will be held at the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures in Lublin. During the Lublin edition of the Festival, we will hear three world class groups that will present the transversal repertoire of the classical music.

On March 21, the Lublin audience will hear the Israel Camerata Orchestra Jerusalem with pianist Szymon Nehring, conducted by Avner Biron. The programme will include the music by Bartok, Levry, Mozart and Beethoven. The concert will be held under the auspices of Israel’s Ambassador to Poland, Mrs. Anna Azari. The official Partner of the concert: City of Lublin. The concert is held as part of the “Lublin 1918-2018. Freedom Inspires Us” celebrations.

The Israel Camerata Orchestra Jerusalem is the leading chamber orchestra in Israel today. The orchestra performs more than 100 concerts a year in Israel and abroad. Its activities include subscribers' series, festivals, special concerts and unique educational projects all over the country.

The Camerata's repertoire ranges from the Baroque to contemporary music. In addition to the traditional repertoire the Camerata is involved in performances of unknown and newly discovered music of different periods as well as performing premiers of contemporary works, Israeli music and works written especially for Avner Biron and the Camerata.

The Camerata has been invited for many concert tours around the world. The orchestra has successfully performed in Europe, the U.S. and the Far East at the most important venues in Amsterdam, Berlin, Leipzig, Munich, Bonn, Paris, New York, Washington, Los Angeles, Chicago, Alaska, Beijing, Shanghai among others.

The performances and recordings of the Camerata conducted by Avner Biron has been highly praised by both music critics and audiences alike.

Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival took place, for the first time in history, in 1997 and commemorated the 170th anniversary of death of the creator of Symphony No. 9. It became a permanent and important element of the cultural life of Europe. Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe EFFE (Gent) appreciated its importance and admitted it to the Association in October 2001.

The programme of every edition of the Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival (held for the first 7 years in Krakow, and since 2004 in Warsaw) is different and shows achievements of European music in an interesting and varied manner. Every edition shows the music of Beethoven from different perspectives and allows the listeners to perceive his inspirations, the impact of his music on creators from different eras and the place of Beethoven in the world of contemporary art and in contemporary world alike. The Festival concerts in are held as part of the “Lublin 1918-2018. Freedom Inspires Us” celebrations.
