Festival of Set and Costume Design to be launched by Centre for the Meeting of Cultures in Lublin
On 26 November, Ewa Braun, Academy Award-winning scenographer and interior designer, Lech Majewski, film and theatre director, writer, poet and painter, Janusz Kapusta, architect, illustrator, painter and scenographer, Professor Leszek Mądzik, theatre director, founder of "Scena Plastyczna KUL", and Piotr Franaszek, Managing Director of the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures in Lublin, participated in a press conference, during which they unveiled their plan to organise the Festival of Set and Costume Design.
Produced by the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures in Lublin and scheduled for 2017, the Festival of Set and Costume Design is a cyclical event that aims to showcase the importance and scope of the broadly defined visual arts in theatre and cinematography. An official letter of intent was signed yesterday by Prof. Leszek Mądzik, Festival's Artistic Director, members of the Festival's Programming Board (Ewa Braun, Janusz Kapusta, Lech Majewski) and Piotr Franaszek, Managing Director of the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures in Lublin.
