“Reggae Faces” is Bartek Muracki’s photo exhibition comprised of 24 portraits spanning over 50 years of the development of Jamaican music. By looking at the images of artists crucial to the growth of the genre – vocalists, instrumentalists and producers, we meet face-to-face the icons of the musical culture that developed in the Caribbean Sea basin in the 1960s and has since continued to develop all over the world.

This unique event is not exclusively aimed at music lovers. The programme of the concert comprises twenty-four pieces of opera and operetta music and the greatest hits of musical and popular music such as Rusałka’s Aria written by A. Dvorak and Music Was My First Love by John Miles. We will listen to the best and the most spectacular voices of the Polish opera stage, including sopranist Kamila Lendzion, mezzo-sopranist Magdalena Idzik as well as tenors Mirosław Niewiadomski and Paweł Skałuba. Their performance will be accompanied by the oldest Polish orchestra, the Karol Namysłowski Symphony Orchestra in Zamość conducted by Tadeusz Wicherek. The concert will be led by Paweł Świętorecki, the student of Bogusław Kaczyński.

24 września br.(sobota), o godzinie 19:00 w Sali Operowej Centrum Spotkania Kultur w Lublinie odbędzie się projekcja filmu „Bogowie” (reż. Łukasz Palkowski) z muzyką na żywo. Ścieżkę dźwiękową do filmu skomponował Bartosz Chajdecki.

Good Things Await is a documentary about the life of the 80-year-old Danish, Niels Stokholm, who is engaged in biodynamic agriculture and who treats people and nature as equals. High quality products from the Stokholms’ farm are served in the finest restaurants. Unfortunately, the Danish authorities do not support their views and their way of life. They threaten Mr. and Mrs. Stokholm with closing down the farm.
