The Centre for the Meeting of Cultures in Lublin is participating in the NIEZŁA SZTUKA! (Good Art) campaign, organized by "Zwierciadło" monthly.
It is already the second special campaign of "Zwierciadło” that allows the readers to visit cultural institutions throughout Poland and take part in free-of-charge guided tours. The campaign will be held during the weekend of April 9-10. The holders of coupons printed in the latest issue of Zwierciadło can also visit the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures in Lublin. We will be waiting for you on Saturday (9 April) at 12:00 p.m. and Sunday (10 April) at 5:00 p.m.

Spacerownik Teatralny at the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures in Lublin

On April 3rd, at noon sharp, the Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute in Warsaw (organiser) and the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures in Lublin (local coordinator) would like to invite you to participate in the Lublin edition of the "Spacerownik Teatralny” (Theatre Guided Walk) that will be held as part of the nationwide #DotknijTeatru (Touch Theatre) campaign. (Similar walks, besides Lublin, will take place in Warsaw (two), Kraków, Poznań, Wrocław, Elbląg, Łódź and Gdańsk.)
The "Theatres in Lublin” walk will cover not less than fifteen historical sites that are now associated with theatre, e.g. the Grodzka Gate, the edifice of the former Jesuit College, the Old Theatre, the Parys Palace, the Juliusz Osterwa Theatre and the Centre for Culture. Participants of the walk will get a unique chance to visit the interiors of the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures in Lublin, which is scheduled to be launched in April/May this year. The walk, which will start on 9 Zamkowa Street (the Holy Trinity Chapel of the Lublin Castle), will be guided by Grzegorz Kondrasiuk. The estimated duration is 2.5 h.

Today, in Teatralny Square, we announced the programme of the opening season of the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures in Lublin, combining various areas of cultural and artistic activity, informed by the idea of a meeting with another human being. The main programme lines introduce recipients to the rich world of current international trends, including classic and signature acts and events delivered at the highest possible level. The programme lines are categories of meanings that group the projects of the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures around the following notions: Meetings with Masters, Meetings of World Cultures, Arts and Culture at Present, Neo-Tribes (Modern Tribalism), and a Meeting Place.
Aleksandra Kurzak & Roberto Alagna: Opera Hall Launch

The first concert at the Opera Hall, which will be held on 29 April 2016, will start the opening season of the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures in Lublin. For the first time in Poland, Aleksandra Kurzak and Roberto Alagna will perform together a selection of the finest opera arias by Verdi, Puccini and Donizetti. The opera stars will be accompanied on-stage by the Karol Namysłowski Symphony Orchestra conducted by Bassem Akiki.
